Follow the Yellow Brick Road with Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin-Man and the Cowardly Lion in The Ulster Theatre Company's production of L. Frank Baum'sThe Wizard of Oz from tomorrow until Saturday.
A cast of over 30 perform a sumptuous new version by the Royal Shakespeare Company with all the original songs by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg including Somewhere Over the Rainbow, If Only I Had a Heart, Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead and We're Off to See the Wizard.
Background music is by Herbert Stothart and dance and vocal arrangements by Peter Howard with choreography by Deborah Maguire.
Adapted from the motion picture screenplay by John Kane, the show promises to be an explosion of colour and infectious energy in a kaleidoscope of music and dance . . . plus a dog!
