Walkers in Oxford will commemorate 50 years of Tibet's occupation next month.
The four-mile scenic trek, due to go ahead at 11am on October 8, has been arranged by the Free Tibet Campaign and the Tibet Relief Fund.
It will mark the years since the start of the Chinese occupation of Tibet, during which more than one million Tibetans are believed to have been killed.
The trek has been designed to encourage groups to walk in unison around Britain as a tribute to people who are trying to survive enforced occupation.
The Oxford walk, which will start at the Walton Well Road entrance to Port Meadow, is one of a number throughout Britain which will mark the occasion.
All the money raised from the event will be shared between the organising groups and distributed to support a training home for disabled Tibetan refugee children in Dharamsala and India.
After the event, there will be a showing of Martin Scorsese's Kundan at the Phoenix Cinema in Walton Street.
