The 19-year-old was watched by Hammers scouts as free-scoring City made it four straight wins in Division 1 with a 2-0 victory at Whyteleafe on Tuesday.
And the Premiership club are due to be represented at Court Place Farm tomorrow as City take on Bishop's Stortford.
Manager Paul Lee said: "They are really keen on him. He has only scored a couple of goals, but he has been really exciting and was devastating the other night."
Centre back Michael Thorp is ruled out after suffering concussion in Tuesday's win and Simon Abercrombie (ankle) faces a fitness test.
