A pre-school has been given a glowing report in its latest Ofsted inspection.
Hadland Pre-School, in Abingdon, which has 39 children, aged between two and five, at its base in Hadland Road Community Centre, was shown by the inspectors to have no significant weak- nesses.
In their report, the inspectors said: "Hadland Pre-School provides many worthwhile experiences in a happy, calm and supportive environment.
"Most children are likely to achieve the desirable learning outcomes in all areas of learning by the time they are five years old. The provision promotes all the desirable learning outcomes and there are no significant weaknesses."
The report said programmes for personal and social development, language and literacy, maths, knowledge and understanding and physical and creative development were all good or very good. Inspectors also praised teaching at the school and said it was well organised with a good interaction between staff and students.
Lydia Owen, chairman of the school committee, said: "We are very delighted to receive such an excellent report from Ofsted and its really down to the dedication of the staff and the committee who have worked very hard to make sure it was a success."
