A man was found hanged today near Folly Bridge, Oxford.
The body of a man in his 20s was found this morning on a metal bridge near the River Thames off Abingdon Road. A passer-by discovered it at 6.15am and raised the alarm.
Towpaths around the area were sealed off as police carried out an investigation.
An Oxford police spokesman said they were not treating the death as suspicious at this stage.
He said it was thought the man, whose identity has not yet been established, was not a student and may have been homeless.
A police spokesman added: "The area is now a crime scene and will remain sealed off until our investigations are complete."
