Former Wales rugby international Derwyn Jones's long-awaited debut for Banbury did not materialiase on Saturday.
A late back injury meant thst the 6ft 10ins lock forward had to drop out on Saturday morning.
However, Banbury took this on the chin and proceeded to beat Hereford 41-20 in Midlands Division 1.
There was joy at Witney, who recorded their first victory in South West 2 East, when they scraped home 20-18 against Stow-on-the-Wold.
Bicester, Oxfordshire's last representatives in the NPI Intermdiate Cup, have been drawn at Wimborne in the third round on November 4.
Littlemore, meanwhile, have been given a home tie against Oakmeadians in the third round of the Tetley's Bitter Vase on the same date.
