The second phase of a million pound investment programme at Orbit Precision Machinery has ended with the delivery of a new hi-tech machining centre at the firm's site in Wantage, writes Sarah Parker.
The new machining centre has increased the firm's manufacturing capabilities, and staff has also increased by ten per cent since January. Thirty new jobs are planned over the next two years.
Orbit's annual turnover is approaching 6m and the company has witnessed steady growth since its acquisition by the national manufacturing group Accura three years ago.
Managing director John Walford said: "Our expansion is great news for Wantage and the surrounding areas."
