Bicester's talented halfback, Stuart Cassidy, could be out for six weeks after damaging knee ligaments in their 21-18 defeat at home to Swindon on Saturday.
Cassidy, playing at fly half, received the injury just after half-time following a high-speed mid-air collision with Swindon's Adam Westall.
The score was 13-13 at half-time with Stuart Cassidy two cassidys were playing in game landing two penalties and converting a try by winger Chris Austin, who departed later with a head injury.
After Stuart Cassidy left, Westall was sin-binned for ten minutes during which time Bicester winger Paul Inns sent replacement prop Sean Cooke through for an unconverted try.
A second Westall penalty kick reduced Bicester's lead to two points, and ten minutes from time, the Swindon right wing broke away from a scrum to score.
Bicester's 18-16 lead had vanished and Swindon survived the shell-bust of the Oxfordshire side's closing assault, to emerge as rather lucky victors.
Chipping Norton, trailing by ten points after the first 20 minutes, fought back to win 17-16 at Grove. Grove's big lock forward, Mike Turner, did most of the damage, popping up at outside centre to score a try as they built up a 13-3 advantage.
Chippy's Martin Nutt used his searing pace to leave Grove's defence standing to score under the posts after intercepting a loose pass from deep in his own half. Jim Ritchie added a conversion to his previous penalty goal. Grove landed a penalty to make it 16-10 at half-time.
Chippy's winning score came after a sustained ten-minute spell of forward pressure, resulting in captain Mark Dixon scoring a try converted by Ritchie.
Oxford Harlequins went down 10-7 at Buckingham in a game they felt they should have won.
Buckingham led by a solitary penalty goal after a scrappy first half and increased their lead ten minutes from time, when their right wing snapped up a fumbled ball to go under the posts for a converted try.
This stung Quins into action, and a brilliant move from a set scrum saw scrum half Lewis Taylor put fly half Gareth E Jones in for a try, which the latter converted. But they were unable to score again.
