West Witney Ladies turned in a better performance away to Hampstead & Westminster, but still came away losing their South Clubs League game 3-1.
Again, because of the unavailability of key players, player-coach Zazi Barrell had to reshuffle the starting line-up.
Hampstead created a number of short corners, which resulted in their first goal when Witney's defence left a player unmarked to slot past the keeper.
Witney then had a poor ten minutes when they couldn't win any 50-50 balls and they conceded another goal before half-time.
Louisa Stack, stand-in captain, set up a lot of Witney attacks, allowing wide players Sue Roberts, Nic Heffernan and Kim Watkins space to run at the Hampstead defence. This resulted in a short corner when Sarah Taylor's shot was deflected and Sally Jeanes placed it past the keeper.
Witney deserved to draw the game, but could not find that second goal, and with minutes to go, conceded a third.
