Oxford City Stars brushed aside Bracknell Hornets 8-3 on their home rink in the English National League, writes Colin Kirby.
Stars, boosted on Sunday by the return of several players from injury, soaked up some early Bracknell attacks with Matt Cameron in superb form and then tore into their hosts.
Paul Donohoe saw his shot just chipped away but Andy Goddard was alert to fire in a fierce shot for the opener.
Peter Nyman picked out Scott Gough with a perfect pass for Stars' second, and Chris West struck a good third to establish superiority.
Referee Borg lost the plot at the halfway stage, allowing a Bracknell goal that didn't seem to cross the goal line and then bombarding Oxford with niggly penalties. Stars kept their composure, however, and went further ahead with goals from Derek Flint and Glenn West.
Oxford 's class started to tell in the final period, and Flint capped a great display with a well-taken goal, Josh Grocutt underlined an impressive showing with another and Glenn West fired home a scorcher to kill the game.
Stars gave ice time to back up netminder Chris Roberts and Hornets hit two late consolations.
