City of Oxford A had to settle for third place at Temple Cowley in the first round of the Speedo League Southern Section, finishing behind Portsmouth Northsea A and Wycombe & District teams.
Oliver Worthington won the men's open 100m individual medley in 1.00.13 and City's 15 & under boys claimed two victories through Aaron Rose and James Warren.
City's girls were held in check by Portsmouth Northsea, apart for wins by Amy Crider in the 11 and under 50m backstroke and the team of Jo Currie, Katie Smith, Katherine Butler, Clem Harris, Lucy Higton and Katie Scott in the 6x50m women's freestyle relay.
City of Oxford B finished joint second with Worthing, behind Bognor Regis, at Gosport.
Witney finished third in the opening round of their Speedo League Division 1 winter programme at Leamington.
An outstanding effort by 14-year-old Joanne Trask saw her race to victories in the 15 and under freestyle and open freestyle.
Luke Wilmshurst won both the 13 and under breaststroke and butterfly, both in new personal best times, and girls' captain Stacey Bales recorded wins in the open butterfly and breaststroke.
Michael Adair, Greg Barrett, Piers Cardon and Adam Copperwheat captured both 15 and under medley and freestyle relays.
