Charlton United recorded their first win of the season in the Premier Division with a 3-2 victory at home to local rivals Highfield Old Boys, writes Neil Woodcock.

Charlton raced into a 3-0 lead before half time with two goals from young striker Ashley Holland and a Robert Keys penalty.

Highfield, feilding several ex-Charlton players, fought back after the break with Sammy Donaldson converting a penalty.

Wayne Blossom further reduced the arrears, but Charlton held on.

Eynsham suffered their first defeat, going down 1-0 to Marston Saints in a disappointing encounter.

Paul Hicks scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot to secure the points for Marston.

Leaders Ruscote maintained their unbeaten record with a 2-1 victory at Hook Norton.

Ruscote's goals came from Jimmy Primrose and Prew. Shane Peedle replied for Hooky. Adderbury Park made it four wins out of four with a 3-1 victory at bottom club Garsington.

The home side took the lead when Park defender Ian Bolton deflected a cross into his own net, but Mike Kenny equalised before the break.

Park's leading scorer, Andy Cullen, netted from a tight angle to put the visitors ahead before Mark Farniss capitalised on a defensive error to stretch their advantage.

Garsington had a chance to pull a goal back from the penalty spot, but Geordie Masterman blasted the ball against the bar.

In Division 1, Kennington United maintained their 100 per cent record with a 7-1 trouncing of Rover Cowley.

Jay Morris (2), Carl Smith, Richard Allen, Richard Dunham, Kenny Lewis and Alex Crossan got the goals. Rover's reply came from an own goal.

In Division 2B, Haddenham United Res thrashed Bletch- ingdon Res 7-1.

Haddenham's marksmen were Gel Essex (2), Jason White (2), Mark Faul, Phil Dunbar and an own goal.
