Older people are being sought to take part in research which aims to turn the clock back, writes Emma Henry.
The Turn Back Time project aims to help older people stay more active for longer. Project leaders want to hear from over-70s who do not take any form of exercise, and who live in the St Ebbe's area of Oxford.
Health experts are looking to test the theory that some older people who rely on medication and physical aids, such as walking sticks, may become healthier through regular exercise.
Volunteers will participate in two exercise classes a week, which are tailored to their abilities, and which will take place at Brookes Taylor Court, in Albion Place near St Aldate's, Oxford.
Their strength, balance and co-ordination will be tested regularly to see if there have been any improvements.
