Shared Experience Theatre return to the Oxford Playhouse on Tuesday with Henrik Ibsen's classic drama of female emancipation, A Doll's House . The company has assembled an all-star cast for this production which includes Paterson Joseph, one of the country's most celebrated black actors, known for his role as Mark Grace in the BBC1's series Casualty and for his appearance alongside Leonardo di Caprio in the hit filmThe Beach. Director Polly Teale makes much of the nightmare of fear and sense of crisis which lurk beneath the apparent social realism of Ibsen's heroine, Nora, who fights for emotional survival within the confines of her domestic idyll.
