The great and good are no strangers to the hallowed hall of the Oxford Union debating chamber.
But on Thursday night (Octo 19), four famous names will be taking the stand before a student audience for Question Time.
Chaired by David Dimbleby, the panel offers political heavyweights in Kenneth Clarke, the former Tory Chancellor of the Exchequer and pro-European, and Baroness Williams, one of the Labour 'Gang of Four' renegades who was instrumental in the birth of the British Liberal Democrat movement.
New Labour will be represented by so-called 'Blair Babe', Ann Taylor MP, who is now the party's Chief Whip.
Another Blair favourite is Robert Winston, the leading fertility expert who was ennobled after Labour's election victory. Charles Moore, the editor of the Daily Telegraph, completes the line-up of guests.
Edited highlights of the programme will be screened on BBC tomorrow at 10.30pm.
