Lee Sharkey hit no fewer than six goals as Magdalen Arms cruised to double figures at Chalgrove in the second round of the League Cup, writes Geoff Bower.

Arms eventually ran out 11-1 victors, with the other goals coming from Warren Bustin (2), Ian Bishop, Wally Doghar and veteran Hughie McNeill, who fired in a 35-yarder.

Arncott found themselves up against after going down 2-0 down at Cowley Cosmos in a bad-tempered game. Young sub Chris McMillan pulledone back, but it was not enough as Cowley went through to the next round.

Roebuck cruised through by defeating The Letting Shop 7-0. New signing Mark Scanes grabbed a hat-trick, with others coming from Gary Rudman (2), Darren Barber and Carl Barber.

Wheatley 84 bounced back from the previous week's poor performance to beat visitors Star Wanderers 3-0 in the Premier Division.

Paul Flack gave Wheatley an interval lead before strikes from Simon Burton and Paul Wright made sure of the points. Despite putting in a low-key performance, Six Bells Kidlington still took all the points with a 2-1 victory at Masons Arms thanks to two second-half strikes from Paul Faulkner, either side of an own goal for Masons.

Mansfield Road and AFC Jericho were involved in an excellent end-to-end game. But as both keepers were in top form, it took a last minute strike from Robert Mitchell to steal the points for Jericho.

In Division 3, AFC Jericho Res had a much easier task, posting a 5-1 victory at British Bio Tec with goals from Orville Denton, Brian Selkirk, Dean Joseph, Robert Townsend and Dennis Williams.

Marston Village came away from Angel Witney with a 5-1 win thanks to a brace from Rob Evans, with Rob Merchant, Howard Williams and Anton Osbourne adding one apiece. Robert Craddock replied for Angel.
