If you want an insight into the real passions and preoccupations of your neighbours, CommuniGate is a good place to start.
The online service for non profit-making organisations has already been used by a range of clubs and societies in the county, offering a glimpse of what Oxfordshire people do in their spare time.
Recent new Web sites built on CommuniGate include the local branch of the Goldwing Owners' Club of Great Britain (for enthusiasts of a particular make of Honda motorbike), Cry Havoc (for Morris dancers) and Americans in Oxford (for local people with US roots).
CommuniGate has also become home to dancers, anglers, chess players, choristers, craftspeople, drama clubs and tram fans. The breadth of leisure pursuits represented can be seen from the list of groups already with their own sites (see the homepage of This is Oxfordshire).
All have created their own sites from scratch and for free, by logging on at www.communigate.co.uk/ oxford.
Around 80 groups in the community have already established their presence on CommuniGate. Your group can join at any time.
