An antique dealers is celebrating 50 years of trading with an exhibition of English cabinet-making.

The exhibition, spanning 150 years from William III to William IV, opened in W.R. Harvey and Company's Corn Street showrooms on Saturday, October 14 and will run until Sunday, November 15.

Pieces on show will include bookcases, sideboards, tables, chairs and cabinets in satinwood, rosewood, walnut and mahogany.

W.R. Harvey was started by Walter Harvey in Chalk Farm in London. In 1983, it opened a shop in Old Bond Street before moving to Witney in 1996. The firm is now run by Mr Harvey's son David, although his father still takes an active role in the business.

David Harvey said: "The exhibition will include a lovely inlaid chest of drawers and a superb lacquer bureau of the late 17th century William and Mary period, up to a carved rosewood breakfront chiffonier dating from the 1830s reign of William IV."

The exhibition is part of the British Antique Dealers' Association Millennium Exhibitions Programme, as well as the Cotswolds Antique Dealers' Exhibitions fortnight, which runs until October 28.
