Four bicycles have been stolen from a school by a thief with bolt-cutters.

The bikes, belonging to pupils of Banbury School, were locked in the cycle area at the Ruskin Road school entrance.

They were stolen last Thurdsay afternoon.

School officer Pc Ian Scott said: "A tool like a bolt-cutter was used to cut the security chains on the bikes. They were all fairly new and the young owners were upset when they found their machines missing.

"I would like to know about anybody acting suspiciously in the Ruskin Road area."

Pc Scott can be called on 01295 262164.
