Superstore Borders is bringing all-night shopping to Oxford tonight.
Borders Books Music Cafe, in Magdalen Street, is opening its doors from 8am today to 11pm on Saturday, October 21.
General manager Nancy Doan said a variety of events was being lined up, particularly designed for Students, who will be able to claim 20 per cent discount off all the CDs, books, DVDs and videos they buy.
She said the marathon opening would allow students to shop around the clock to stock up on academic book titles as well as enjoy entertainment from a variety of bands.
Actors from the forthcoming Oscar Wilde production, The Importance of Being Earnest, at the Oxford Playhouse, will also perform scenes from the play in the store.
She said: "This is a wonderful start of term opportunity for students to discover our store and the range of stock we have available.
"Students are a very important market for us and we hope they visit us during the marathon opening and become regular shoppers."
The two-floor superstore stocks more than 120,000 book titles, 25,000 CDs, 5,000 videos and DVDs, as well as 2,500 periodicals.
