A village pre-school has been highly praised by school inspectors.
Ambrosden Village Pre-school was described as having a "high standard" of education following the Ofsted inspection in the summer.
The report added: "The children are well behaved and respond to the guidelines offered by the staff.
"The children settle well to activities and they are able to concentrate. Relationships in the pre-school are good, with many examples of co-operative play."
The report concluded there were no significant weaknesses, although the report did advise the pre-school to "explore ways of introducing letter shapes and sounds in a more planned way to ensure good coverage of the alphabet".
The pre-school, which has 30 children, was established in 1974 and is managed by a committee of parents and carers.
Jackie Floyd, pre-school secretary, said she was delighted with the report.
