Langney Spts 1, Banbury Utd 1
Banbury fought back for a Dr Martens Eastern Division point after condeding a goal inside three minutes at Langney on Saturday.
The home side's top scorer Matty Allen was set free and beat the offside trap to slot home the early goal, but Banbury defended splendidly for the rest of the game.
With Jon Corbett still injured, Ady Fuller played in midfield, with Ian Bowyer at right back, but despite the changes, Banbury coped well.
Paul Beauchamp made a couple of good saves in the first 45 minutes and Keiran Sullivan was outstanding in the middle of the defence.
Banbury's best chance came in the 39th minute when Jody McKay set up Matty Gooderick, but Banbury's top scorer glanced the ball wide of the post.
The second half was more of even matched and Banbury notched the equaliser in the 64th minute. Matty Gooderick beat two defenders before unleashing a shot which flew past Langney keeper Simon Davey.
The last 25 minutes produced the best football of the game with Banbury's defence outstanding.
