Oxford United will be looking to Joe Kinnear for a miracle after their seventh straight away defeat of the season left them six points adrift at the bottom of Division 2, writes Jon Murray.
But, just as important, they need a change of luck because Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Rotherham was as much down to ill-fortune as bad play.
Derek Lilley had a goal disallowed for offside, but had he not run Simon Weatherstone's shot into the net to make sure, it would probably have gone in anyway.
And at the opposite end, Rotherham's breakthrough goal 15 minutes from time should not have been given.
Richard Knight pawed out a header from Paul Warne on the goalline and although the linesman kept his flag down, referee John Brandwood decided the ball had crossed the line.
An upset Knight insisted afterwards: "It definitely didn't cross the line."
Kinnear, the former Wimbledon boss who is due to arrive at the Manor Ground today as a consultant, might do well to get the advice of ex-Arsenal defender Andy Linighan on what is wrong on the playing side at United.
As someone who has come in from the outside, he can give an objective view.
Linighan gave a masterful performance but was let down by some of his teammates making crucial mistakes or wrong decisions.
