Work done by Thames Valley Police to improve community and race relations will come under the spotlight in Europe.
Insp Simon Pont, the Force's community and race relations co-ordinator, will tell delegates at a three-day Safety In Our Cities conference in Bonn, Germany, next week how Thames Valley Police is working with its diverse communities to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour and fear of crime.
He will then fly to Rome to address senior Italian police officers.
Insp Pont said: This is a tremendous opportunity, not only for us to tell police officers from other countries what we are doing to improve community and race relations, but to find out how they are tackling the issue and, hopefully, to learn valuable lessons from their experiences.
