Police are trying to trace a lorry driver who grabbed a young boy by the throat in a road rage incident.
The burly six-footer snapped after the 14-year-old boy ran across a road in Banbury in front of his truck.
The driver braked hard and accused him of deliberately running out in front of him, but then lay in wait for the boy as he walked across the Easington recreation ground minutes later.
Now Banbury police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place shortly after 3pm last Thursday, and left the boy badly frightened. They said he had been walking with his friends across Bloxham Road, near the Harrier View junction, when the first incident happened.
The man grabbed the 14-year-old around the throat and shoved him into a bush before storming off.
The boy's attacker was described as white, 6ft tall, of muscular build and with short, fair hair. A young child was spotted sitting in the passenger seat of the lorry.
Witnesses to either incident are asked to call Pc Davies on 01295 754550.
