Thame earned a home tie with local rivals Oxford City after earning a narrow victory at Aylesbury last night in the first round of the Ryman League's Full Members Cup
Both sides took the opportunity to rest key players ahead of important weekend games, with Thame fielding five 19-year-olds.
The game only sprang to life after the break following an evenly matched first half.
Thame went ahead in the 67th minute when Alex Minton scored his first goal since his move from Luton Town with a delightfully curled free kick which left home keeper James Courtnage stranded.
Within a minute, Aylesbury levelled when Steve Callnan pulled a ball back for substitute Bobby Heighton to score from close range.
Thame's Ian Moores produced a world-class save to deny a Danny Grieves header in the 70th minute.
With time running out, Jefferson Louis was on hand to send a powerful header past Courtnage when he met substitute Nando Perna's flighted corner in the 85th minute.
