The Pegasus Theatre, Magdalen Road, is one of nine UK venues hosting Visions 2000, Britain's biggest Festival of International Animated Theatre.
The programme begins on Monday with The Tin Soldier, an adaptation of the classic Hans Andersen story, brought to life with puppets for five- to 11-year-olds by Storybox Theatre. Although this production is aimed at primary school children, the timeless appeal of puppetry means that adults will enjoy it too.
The Festival continues on October 28, when Teatro Hugo from Peru will be entertaining the audience using just his knee, hand or belly button.
Other festival dates to look out for are November 3, 7, 8, and 30.
