Soldiers wearing full civil war battle uniforms will be marching from Abingdon to Headington to raise money for a hospice.
The Sir Robert Levenz Company of the Kings Lifeguard of Foote is to donate the funds it collects to the Sobell House Hospice 'Raising the Roof' appeal.
This local Sealed Knot English Civil War re-enactment group will be setting off from Abingdon Market Place at 9am, on Saturday (October 28). They will march through Radley, Kennington and Oxford to the Sobell House Hospice at the Churchill Hospital at 1pm.
The Sealed Knot brings to life the battles of the English Civil War. Battle re-enactments include firing cannon, marching to the beat of a drum and showing standards.
Sobell House launched its Raising the Roof appeal for 3.5m to build a new hospice with modern facilities and so far more than 2m has been raised.
