Tandem proved too good for Democrats A as they ran out 4-1 winners in the Morrells Oxford League Premier Section, writes Pete Ewins.
Young Stephen Sheard scored 8,440, including a break of 7,860, to put the home side in front and then Pauline Withey made it 2-0.
Brian Rose beat Keith Sheard 6,570-1,300 for Demo's only point as Bob Whitehouse 8,500 (break 8,130) and Ray Sturgess (6,150) completed the victory.
Watermans A edged home 3-2 against Masons Arms. Bob Allsworth (3,040) and a last-ball win by Alan Burnham (2,290-2,260) were Masons' winners, while Gary Johnson (6,820-4,600), Ian Moquet (4,680) and Dennis Atkins (7,620) won for the Osney side.
Steve Trinder scored a brilliant 8,060 in Bricklayers' 3-2 Division 2 win at Masons B. In-form Jason Catermole opened their account by scoring 14,470 and was fully supported by Terry Green (7,880), Stuart Hogg (2,230), Mick Murphy (3,290) and Dave Davies (2,710).
South Oxford Social Club B found Isis in good shape, winning all their games through Steve Huntley (7,430), Steve Galloway (1,750), Martin Atkins (9,690), Alan Huntley (3,820) and Dave Barnes (4,890).
In an all-Section 3 clash, Bullnose Morris won 3-2 against newcomers Crown. Reg Johnson was top scorer for the hosts with 3,970, while Wolfie Storch hit a splendid 8,880 for the visitors.
