Despite taking the lead after just ten seconds, Division 1 leaders Brewery Tap had to settle for an exciting 4-4 draw at home to neighbours Red Lion, writes Mick Day.
Scott Olliff struck one of the quickest goals in the league's history on his way to a brace for Tap, whose other scores came from strikes by Lee Jones and Martin Neal. Chris Cording (3) and Steve Cox replied for Red Lion.
Early pacesetters Saxton Rovers have slid into the relegation zone after dropping 12 points in quick succession.
This week, they went down 5-2 to Athletico Indaline, who netted through Mark Haynes (3) and Danny Curran (2). Mark Goodman scored twice for Rovers.
Witney Elm Tree came from behind to beat East Hendred 5-1. Jason Fisher gave the Hendred the lead before Elm Tree hit back for victory through Matt Pratley (3) and Rob Edwards (2). Rutherford Lab came back from the dead to record their first Division 2 win of the season when they beat Crispin Harwell 4-3.
Crispin led 3-0 at half-time with strikes from Stuart Toft (2) and Lee Wise but Rutherford clawed their way back through Mike Edgington (penalty), Brian Deans and an own goal before Deans supplied the winner with five minutes left.
King Alfred's Head beat Burford United 1-0 thanks to a last-minute strike from 16-year-old Dave Mulford.
Darren Pill scored twice late on as Long Wittenham snatched a 4-4 draw with ten-man Standlake Garage.
Robert Keates (2), late arrival Jerry Senior and Duncan Selman, scored for Garage, who started with only nine players. Scott Anderson grabbed Wittenham's other two goals.
