It may not have been the best of weekends for Cheetahs but Todd Wiltshire kept the Oxford flag flying by reaching the Elite League Riders Championship semi-finals at Coventry's Brandon Stadium.
Fellow Australian Ryan Sullivan came out on top, but Cheetahs' Jimmy Nilsen was a last-minute absentee with a back injury.
Meanwhile, Cheetahs, as expected, bowed out of the Craven Shield at Eastbourne's Arlington Stadium on Sunday.
They failed to get anywhere near the 51 points required to take them through to the finals.
Oxford were missing Nilsen, who picked up a back injury during the meeting against Poole on Friday.
Don't forget Cheetahs' dinner and dance at the Stadium next Wednesday.
Hopefully, Cheetahs will have completed their fixtures by then and the riders can at last relax. King's Lynn and Coventry are meeting in the final of the Speedway Star KO Cup this week with the second leg in the Midlands on Saturday.
Meanwhile, King's Lynn are also through to the Craven Shield final along with Poole and Coventry. The first leg is at Poole tomorrow night.
Steve Johnston must be overloaded with trophies for rider-of-the-night this season.
He picked up two last Friday for his unbeaten 12-pointer to add to his ever-growing trophy cabinet.
Jimmy Nilsen received the Martin Morbey Rider of the Month award.
