A colourful, carnival-style spectacle by Green Candle Dance Company visits The Theatre, Chipping Norton on Wednesday with Alanna and the Tree, an evening of dance which focuses on the issue of deforestation and saving the environment. It was inspired by a trip to the Amazon rainforest. The story centres on a young girl whose village is threatened with destruction by the building of a road. She decides to stop this by talking to the president, and on her way there, she shelters under a tree which she discovers can talk and move.
