The leading string players from the Orchestra of St John are staging a concert at the Sheldonian Theatre on Wednesday, featuring a programme of string masterpieces, including Vaughan Williams's Tallis Fantasia and Barber's Adagio. The players secured their place in rock history earlier in the year when they recorded with Radiohead on the band's highly acclaimed new album Kid A. This concert will include a performance of a work which results from a community project which saw musicians from the orchestra collaborating with residents from Rose Hill.
