North Oxford's match on the Seacourt Stream saw John Beesley finish well out in front with 20.9.0, mostly chub.
John Coleman was second with 9.14.0 of chub, and Terry Coombs third with 8.7.8, which included a bream of 5.2.0.
The Harry Finch Roach Cup, where only roach counted, was won by John Coleman with 2.4.0.
Ten teams of five contested the first match of the Green Road Social Club Winter League on a rising Cherwell.
Steve Bartram (North Oxford Tackle Anglers) was top with 8.4.0 consisting of two chub (6.0.0) and some perch take on pole/maggot.
Second place went to John Spencer (Zebco) with 6.13.0, which included a nice bream weighing 5.0.0, taken on bomb/worm, and David Middleton (Zebco) was third with 6.2.4, comprising two chub (5.0.0) and bits on stick/maggot.
Wallingford Jolly Anglers' match, fished on the Oxford reach of the Thames, was won by Jeremy Denton with 14.6.0.
Bill Davis was second with 13.10.0 of roach taken on the stick, and Phil Farrimond third with 11.6.0 of roach taken on stick. The match incorporated the Adrian Payne Best Pairs, which was won by Denton and Farrimond.
