A lifetime of helping people overcome problems has led to a new business venture for Dee Carbery from Wallingford, writes Sarah Parker.
Dee is a newly qualified counsellor for Lifeline, a medically monitored weight loss programme, which looks at the reasons why people overeat and offers professional counselling.
Dee, who also recruits voluntary workers for various projects and organisations said: "I have just completed my training with Lifeline, and this is a new business venture. I saw the opportunity advertised and it struck a chord with me.
"I knew a little about the emotional difficulties involved with weight gain, so I followed this up and found myself training to be a counsellor."
She added: "Group counselling has the benefit of the members supporting each other as well as the guidance I can give." She can be called on 01865 891240.
