Garsington Opera founders Leonard and Rosalind Ingrams have been given European honours.
The award was for Garsington Opera's annual festival and for the way it nurtures young musical talent. It was granted by the European Foundation for Culture and presented in Copenhagen.
Mr Ingrams commented: "We are honoured and delighted to receive the award. We will continue our commitment to provide a platform for young singers on the threshold of their careers, to present productions of the highest standard and to provide an opportunity to hear little known works."
