Commuters are being warned to expect delays on some Rail services through Oxfordshire because of the nationwide speed restrictions.
The worst affected appears to be Virgin CrossCountry with delays averaging about 50 minutes on some trains heading from the south coast to Scotland, via Oxford and Banbury.
Great Western services from Bristol and Cardiff running through Oxfordshire to London Paddington are averaging delays of about 20 minutes.
But Chiltern Railways reported no delays on its services from London Marylebone through Bicester North and Banbury.
And Thames Trains services are running normally to Reading and Oxford after Railtrack lifted the 20mph speed limit on a stretch of track through Didcot.
Speed restrictions are still in force at Heyford on the Oxford to Banbury line after metal fatigue was found near Islip.
A 20mph speed restriction brought in after the problem was discovered is expected to remain in force for several weeks while repairs are carried out.
