Beat bobbies and senior police officers will attend a public meeting in Grimsbury, Banbury, to listen to residents' opinions and discuss ways of solving the problems.

Sgt Paul Whitty said: "Grimsbury is a lively and mixed community where locals are usually more than willing to state their views.

We will hear what everyone has to say and ask for constructive ideas on sorting out concerns."

The meeting will be held in Grimsbury Community Hall in Burchester Place, on Wednesday, November 1, at 7pm.

Two other public forums have been arranged for townspeople to speak on crime prevention. Sgt Whitty said: "Patrolling the streets gives me a good idea of the issues that cause concern. Vandalism, auto-crime, noisy neighbours, rowdy teenagers, drunks, bad parking, and speeding are all high on the list."

Residents can meet police officers at Banbury Town Hall on Thursday, November 16, at 7.30pm, and at Chasewell Community Centre, which is next to Grange School, in Cherwell Heights, at 10.30am on Saturday, November 25.
