County Club Bicester A lifted themselves to the head of the Oxford and District League Premier Division with an emphatic 5-1 victory on their visit to the Rileys Snooker Club in Oxford.
Bicester's Jimmy Ewers dropped the opening frame to Dan Ganter 62-12, but came back to snatch the next 66-52. Teammates Neil Craycraft and James Thorpe wapped it up by taking the next four frames from Ian Knight and Keith Maskens.
Thame B retained the leadership of Division 1 despite losing 4-2 at Oracle B team, with Mark Syrett losing the opening two frames to Ray Benwell, and Garrie Sadler and Alan King taking only a frame each from Andy Benwell and John Allen.
County Bicester B are leading Division 2 after a comfortable 5-1 win over the visiting Chilton A team. Neil Brayshaw grabbed the visitors' only point aided by a break of 32.
Seventy-one years seperated two players when Littlemore British Legion B entertained New Club Wheatley B in their Division 5 clash.
The Wheatley side were 2-0 up after Andy Moss took the opening frames from Brian Smith. Then the home side's 16-year-old Anthony Turner took on 87-year-old Harry Kidner and was remided of the value of experience when the Wheatley player took the score to 4-0 winning both frames 56-30, 71-49.
Nigel De-Banks pulled one frame back before George Washington took the final frame to give Wheatley a 5-1 victory.
