A new art gallery that opened in Oxford in June is already proving to be a huge success, writes Sarah Parker.
Run by Phoebe Tulip and Joanna France, the Taurus Gallery in North Parade Avenue, was opened to offer a wide range of contemporary art objects with prices starting from 10.
The business partners met at university and soon realised that they both had ambitions to run their own gallery.
Pheobe who lives in Bicester, is the daughter of the British surrealist painter Oscar Mellor, and Joanna lives in Brackley.
Their gallery showcases original artworks by established and up and coming artists featuring glass, wood and ceramics as well as paintings and sculpture.
