Southern Counties North match report
Newly-promoted Grove gave further evidence that they plan to make their presence felt at this level with this convincing victory.
Grove came from 6-0 down to lead 19-9 at the interval thanks to tries from scrum half Rob Fraud-Williams, hooker Duncan Barbour - who intercepted a wayward pass and ran half the length of the pitch to score - and centre Andy Tutty.
Paul Cudden landed two conversions, while Phoenix managed just three penalty goals in reply.
After the break, Grove showed some great handling in the backs. The result was four more tries - from Fraud-Williams, Andy Tutty, centre James Dougherty and replacement Ben Nicholl. Cudden added one more conversion.
