Transport firm Cherwell Logistics, which employs 24 staff in Enstone, is to invest 300,000 in a new base more than four times the size of its current site, writes David Duffy.
Its site in Bicester Road, Enstone, will be finished at the end of this year. Cherwell Logistics managing director Steve Horne said much of his company's success down to its membership of the palletways network, which offers next-day delivery of freight throughout the UK.
He said: "We are currently growing at a rate of 40 per cent a year, with particularly substantial growth in the amounts of express pallets that we are carrying."
Mr Horne said the new premises would allow the company, which operates 21 vehicles, to increase its capacity from 100 to more than 500 pallets a day.
He said: "It is a sign of our confidence in the future of the palletways network that we are investing in excess of 300,000 in the move."
