A new series of guides to help businesses deal effectively with employees and customers who have facial and other disfigurements has been launched, writes Sarah Parker.
The guides, developed by Cathy Wheatley from Oxford with the help of local employers, are called 'Working with a Difference: equal opportunities for people with disfigurements'.
They will provide a practical resource and promote good practice in recruitment and customer service by increasing the information available to everyone about disfigurement.
Cathy has worked with employers in Oxford and across the country to develop the guides, as well as on equal opportunities policies and procedures.
