A firm is setting up its own park and ride scheme in a bid to stop workers parking in a nearby street.
A petition with 30 signatures was handed to Thame Town Council planning committee objecting to expansion plans by the town's biggest employer, marketing company CPM International.
Shirley Paylor, speaking for people living in Queens Close, said they were angry that the street was being used as a free car park by staff at local offices.
She said: "The haphazard parking in Queens Close is dangerous, leaving no room for emergency services.
"I have been blocked in on my own drive and the whole problem has to be solved."
CPM chief operating officer Paul Woolley said the company knew of the problems and was setting up a park-and-ride scheme from Chinnor Rugby Club's Thame ground to try and alleviate the problem.
He said the application to change a former warehouse to offices would improve the working environment for the 300 staff and would create openings for another 23 people.
He added that CPM employees were not the only ones parking in Queens Close.
Town councillors are to contact other firms in the area to ask their staff to avoid parking there.
