Parents are invited to see local primary schools and nursery units in action during an open week.
Seventy-two of Oxfordshire's schools and units for children aged three to six will take part in Early Years Open Week, organised by the county council.
Among those schools participating will be Brightwell-cum-Sotwell Church of England School, Sonning Common County Primary School (reception year, ages 5-6), Berinsfield County Primary School, Watlington Primary School, and Chalgrove County Primary School (nursery classes, ages three-five).
Council education officer, John Mitchell, said the event would help parents to decide their preference of schools.
He said: "Outside the city of Oxford area, about 96 per cent of parents do manage to get their young children into their first-choice unit."
The open week runs from Monday until next Saturday.
