Ten-year-old schoolgirl Melissa Worrell can't wait for tomorrow she is going to meet the Queen and present a posy to her.
The Queen is visiting Oxford to open a new purpose-built accommodation block for Oriel College in Rectory Road.
Melissa has been chosen to present the posy because she is a member of the Berry family, of whom four generations have worked for the college over more than 110 years.
Three generations of the family will be there to greet the special guest.
Sybil Berry, a kitchen clerk at the college for 42 years, will be there with her husband Den who has worked in the hall for 11 years.
Her daughter Linda and granddaughter Rachel, who are both cleaners, have worked at Oriel for 25 years and four years respectively.
Melissa said: "I am looking forward to it.
"I have never done anything like this before."
Melissa's mother, Michelle Worrell, of Peel Place, Oxford, said: "She is very excited about it. She thinks it is great.
The Queen will visit a student's room and meet students in a communal kitchen before joining a reception in a marquee.
The public will be able to see and meet the Queen in Oriel Square from 12.15pm. After lunch, she will open the new 2.6m home of the Oxford University Officer Training Corps Falklands House in Oxpens Road.
