A man accused of unlawfully killing a father of four was remanded in custody by Banbury magistrates.
Timothy John Deasy, 26, of Tangmere Close, Bicester, was charged after Ernest Berry, 57, of Longlands, Stratton Audley, died after an argument at the White Horse pub in Churchill Road, Bicester, on Saturday.
Deasy also was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm to a man and woman on the same day. He will re-appear before Bicester magistrates on November 14.
Mr Berry worked as a warehouseman at Prodrive, the Banbury rally car firm.
Prodrive's human resources director Sue Brown said Mr Berry was a kind man who got on well with everyone. She said the factory was shocked by his death.
She said: "Mr Berry was very well liked, cheerful and will be missed by his colleagues."
