A stage version of John Buchan's novel The 39 Steps, runs at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, with Simon Williams as Richard Hanney. It tells the story of a bored Scotsman living in London who walks into his flat one day to discover a man murdered on his carpet. Finding himself framed for the dastardly deed, he is suddenly plunged into a world of mystery and intrigue, where he must unearth the secret of the 39 steps and clear his name. With fast-paced action, including high-speed chases across the misty highlands of Scotland, it is a must for mystery fans.
