Oxford United's youngsters hit Bury Town for six at the Manor Ground last night to move into the third round of the AXA FA Youth Cup.
The visitors, from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, were torn apart by the pace and skill of Jamie Brooks and Chris Hackett, who have made appearances as substitutes in the senior side this season.
And when Bury tired late in the game, United found the net three times in the last 15 minutes.
Hackett put United in front after nine minutes and Brooks burst past two defenders in midfield and ran on to a perfect return pass from Jordan Holder to increase the lead after 28 minutes with a low drive past Andrew Hill.
Dwight Ciampoli, booked in the first half for a nasty tackle on Paul Allen, added a third from a Bryndmore Jones cross. And with his last touch of the ball before being substituted after 75 minutes, Hackett crossed to the unmarked Holder for Oxford's fourth.
Newcomer Adam Garner completed the rout with two goals in six minutes.
