Former fly half Craig Chalmers heads a trio of distinguished former Scottish internationals, who will be playing for Major Stanley's XV in their prestige fixture against Oxford University at Iffley Road next Wednesday (3pm).
Chalmers, capped 59 times by his country, is joined by centre Scott Hastings and winger Derek Stark in a strong-looking Stanley's line-up that includes at least another five players with international experience.
The appearance of Chalmers is a coup for the organisers, and comes about because he's not been getting many games for his club, Edinburgh Reivers.
Former New Zealand scrum half Stu Forster, who plays for Leinster, could team up with Chalmers or perennial favourite Gareth Rees, the Canadian fly half, arguably the most popular Oxford player of the past ten years.
Although Zinzan Brooke's appearance has yet to be confirmed, the Stanley's pack looks pretty strong as well, with the inclusion of former Wales internationals Paul Moriarty and Richie Webster.
The side is sure to give the Dark Blues a stiff test as they bid to extend their unbeaten run to eight games.
